In Colombia, a Boeing 737 crashed, spliting into three pieces on landing, killing one passenger. An Air Force official said that with 131 on board it was a miracle that more didn't die after the jetliner was struck by lightning at the San Andres holiday resort. The pilot was praised for preventing the plane from colliding with the airport building.
